My December Mixtape

Don't worry, there's no Slade or Wizzard on this December mix, just the songs I've been spinning over the past month. Let's address the poppy songs first, so turns out I've got a wee guilty pleasure in the form of the pint sized Ariana Grande; sure I've turned up her songs when they've come on the radio but this month I've been actively listening to both Focus and Love Me Harder, get it, Ari. I've also been listening to a Pop Workout playlist to you know, spur me on (NB: it hasn't worked) but it has brought me some cracking easy listening and one that has stood out, and is probably one of the best pop songs of all time, Bad Romance. Moving on to more traditional Alice listening but sticking with the ladies, I love me some Garbage but 'Only Happy When it Rains' has been ringing ever true for me, what can I say, Shirley just gets me, you know? Two bands who I love, and were always very close in my iPod artist list are Green Day and Good Charlotte. I'm seeing All Time Low in the new year, and with Good Charlotte planning a comeback and being their support, I've been loving The Young and The Hopeless, and for me, International Superhits came hand-in-hand with that album. Another place I've been turning to for some hot emo jams is The Used radio and it has been coming up trumps. There are two songs in this list which came from blogger recommendations, so credit where it's due. The Lineup's favourites lead me to listening to The Neighbourhood's new album and I'm a fan, and the second comes from Vivianna Does Makeup's fitness files with the recommendation Le Youth as something to move to, and let me tell you she's not wrong on that one.

What music have you been loving?

Lemme know in the comments below!
