I think Simple is a brand everybody has tried and tested at some point in their life and I would guess it is a lot of peoples go-to brand for skin care. All of their products are affordable, well packaged and good quality as well as being packed with vitamins and skin-loving ingredients such as Vitamin E and B5, Witch Hazel and Chamomile. Simple have a variety of products suited to all different kinds of people, so as well as their standard products they also have different ranges suited to sensitive skin such as 'Kind To Skin' and 'Kind to Eyes', they even have specific Teen and Baby ranges!
I have been using a variety of their Kind to Skin and Eyes products in my skin care routine recently and wanted to let you guys know what I thought!
I am very fussy when it comes to cleansers and I am constantly changing my mind about which ones I like and which ones I don't. I tried the Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser first of all, which comes in a pump bottle making dispensing clean and easy. I use this product with warm water and a face cloth to remove my make-up (after my eye make up has been removed) and you do need to scrub quite a bit. I usually use this product twice because I don't feel that it gives a very deep clean nor does it lather up very much. Since I wasn't enjoying this product, I thought I would try and work it into my shower routine, and I have warmed to it! I use this in the shower once all my make-up has been removed as a final wash to make sure my face is squeaky clean!
I have also been testing out the Purifying Cleansing Lotion, which I am really enjoying using! I do prefer it to the Foaming Cleanser, not because it is a bad product, but because I prefer to use a cream product! The Cleansing Lotion is quite thick, I am not sure if I have a dodgy bottle but I find it quite hard to squeeze out sometimes! The thickness of this product means that it really does tackle any traces of make-up left on the skin. On the other hand, this lotion is not too thick, so I feel that my skin has been properly cleansed without the feeling of grease or any chance of clogged up pores!
I hate to admit it but I have always been one to skip using a toner, but I am really enjoying using Simple's Soothing Facial Toner. This product is really soft and soothing and makes me feel really refreshed! It is non-scented and full of lovely ingredients which leave my skin feeling soft after application and creates a perfect base for applying moisturiser. Simple's Hydrating Light Moisturiser is the perfect balance between light and moisturising, I use a generous helping before bed to let it work its magic over night and when I wake up my skin is still as soft as when I applied it, it says on the bottle it works for 12 hours and I would definitely agree! It states this product has no artificial perfume, which I believe it doesn't, but I find there is a slight scent to it which reminds me of the PVA glue I used in primary school! It is not a strong smell whatsoever, but now I have noticed it I cannot ignore it!
I really love both of these products, Simple's Eye Make-Up Remover is a product I will buy again and again as it always does the job and is really affordable! The liquid is unscented and has no colour to it, which are honestly two things I love about it as it is super gentle on the eye area. I hold a cotton pad over my eye for a couple of seconds and then wipe my eye make-up away, I only have to use one cotton pad per eye to remove my mascara, making the whole process quick and easy!! The absolute selling point for me with this product is that it is non-greasy and it leaves no residue or oil on your eyelids, meaning you could re-apply eye make-up straight away!
The Revitalising Eye Roll-On was a spur of the moment purchase for me, I have never actually tried or tested any similar products but I am glad I picked this one up! To be brutally honest, I haven't seen any changes in the condition of my under eye area nor does it make me look more awake, but, it does make me feel more awake!! The roller ball is a small silver ball which is really cold and on application makes you feel refreshed and wide awake! I think any addition to your morning routine that can wake you up is an absolute investment!!
I think Simple's skin care products would be a perfect starting point for anybody trying to ditch their make-up wipes and establish a proper skin care routine, without the high price tag! All of these products that I have mentioned are priced under £6, which I think is a steal! I couldn't recommend the brand enough and I am always happy to test out new products in the range because I have had such a good experience with the products that I have tried!
