Red Lippy Week - Ruby Woo Review

This week is Red Lippy Week, a project set up by the Eve Appeal to raise awareness of cervical cancer. We thought we'd get involved by posting about a different red lipstick everyday! So to kick this off I thought I'd choose a highly acclaimed (and if you look at the pictures of mine, a very much loved) MAC's Ruby Woo!!

The classic MAC Lipstick. This retails for £14.50
My very much loved bullet. I'll soon have to get another one! This beauty
has served me well!!
What it looks like on!

This is a blue-toned red, which means pearly whites, a very welcome bonus, it's also super bright, so not for the faint hearted, but ultimately this is my go to red lipstick. I love using this when I've had a long day at work and am heading out for a night on the town, with a quick layer of this, my day (and rather dishevelled) look is instantly transformed for a night of painting the town, well, red. If you layer this up and blot in-between applications, the longevity of this lipstick is brilliant, I've worn this on a night out and many a time and not needed to reapply that often, if at all. Blotting though is very important because this product is notorious for leaving your lips feeling cakey and tacky, so remember - blot, blot, blot.

This is a classic shade of red, which will suit a wide range of skin tones, and is an all round cult favourite. I would highly recommend this lipstick to add to your collection if you're after a big, bold lip. As I mentioned before this is no subtle lipstick so do keep that in mind if you're just after a wee tint.
