Barry M Textured Nail Effects Polish

(Excuse the messy painting!)
From L-R: Kingsland Road, Atlantic Road, Ridley Road
Barry M Textured Nail Polish: £3.99

I have recently left my job in a cafe, meaning I am now allowed to wear nail polish to work, so I am taking full advantage of this by constantly changing my nail colour throughout the week, so when I seen a new 'effects' nail polish I knew this was for me!

This range of polish comes in four colours. Atlantic Road which is a soft, pastel blue. Kingsland Road which is a subtle, soft peach. Ridley Road which is a bright (but not too bright) mint green and Station Road which is a bright, summery yellow which I didn't actually purchase as it is not my cup of tea! All three that I have tried become opaque with two coats and the finish reminds me of dried sand, although that may not sound very appealing, I have fallen in love with this new nail effect. All four colours are pastel shades which are perfect for summer and by just touching my nails it reminds me of being on a beach! Just the thought of it is enough to put a smile on my face during our delightful English weather. I honestly think longevity would depend on your personal nail care, I can start to see signs of wear after 2 or 3 days, as the gritty texture starts to smooth down and the tips of my nails start to chip. The only downfall with this polish is that removing it with nail varnish remover is as hard as removing a glitter polish!

There are other similar products on the market, from brands such as OPI or for example Nails Inc's Concrete Effect, but I feel that Barry M have done an excellent job on bringing us an affordable drug-store version, so there is definately no need to splash out!

Have you tried this range?
